About Time

I submmited my resume for a job position this morning. Previously, I have been waiting for updates and news regarding a job offer. It seems that the particular company's plans for expansion are facing some difficulties due to some new rules and regulations.

Time for me to get out of the waiting mode and start preparing for the working life.

Celebration

Finally, a training mate from my batch passed the final test and got his licence.

After 3 'failures' and 6 months, someone finally got the licence for the job.

It was a rather last-minute arrangement but we all made it to the high-tea session. The guy's treat of couse.

The girls took MC for this gathering.

Mr. K simply refused to take a proper photo.

My most recent photo.

Too bad we all didn't take a group photo. But never mind, we'll just wait till the next celebration gathering.

日出

一整夜没睡,在精神恍惚时拍下了早晨的日出。

只是看着它,就会觉得自己很幸福。

很美,也很遥远。

或许,得不到的东西永远最美。

Feeling Lethargic

Believe me when I say that since I got back from Shanghai almost a week ago, I've only stepped out of my house for ONE TIME. And that was only to get some tidbits from the mama-store next block.

Yes, i can be such a lazy bum and stick my ass to the chair in front of the computer and satisfy myself with youtube.

Wanted to blog about my Shanghai trip but I have photos still with my cousin. Feel so not-complete without the entire set of photos.

Will see. I'm getting my big fat sexy butt out of the house and into town today. It's time I breathe dirty air in shopping malls.

Back From Shanghai

I'm back from my 5-day Shanghai trip.

Will blog about it when I'm nicely showered and settled back in front of my computer as a couch potato.

Taipei Trip Notes

Just a few here-and-there things I want to blog about.

On the way to Shih-lin market, train commuters can see this Grand Hotel. It goes some time back and there's a rich history about the hotel. Also, it's said to be located on the best Fengshui spot of Taipei.

The trains have these courtesy seats. And really, no one that shouldn't be seated there are putting their butts down.

In the train during peak hours

And the courtesy seat is still unoccupied

Taipei Trip Part 2

The other tourist spot I went to is this-- Long Hua Temple.

That's pretty much all about tourist places.

Unless you count shopping at night markets.

Shih-lin night market

Been there too on my previous trip. Can't help but queue up at the same fried chicken store again. For just $2, I get a BIG piece of fried chicken.

My dinner for that night. Fried chicken (which I 'hid' in my bag and brought it up the train and back to the hotel) and a cup of lime juice, also from the market.

Beneath this main station is a long stretch of underground shopping mall.

I kept missing the exit to my hotel and when I came up for 'fresh air', I had to brave the streets and highly polluted air of Taipei city.

This is what I ended up buying in my trip.

5 pairs of heels

A lot of books, some cosmetics, clothes...

Taipei Trip Part 1

Guess it's about time to post some photos and blog a bit about the Taipei trip I took a couple of weeks back.

It's my second time to Taipei, alone again this time, nothing new. There's no cute guys on the flight, no sleazy men coming up to me when I was walking around, and no one asking my for my number.

My hotel room. It's located near the Taipei main station and location's pretty neat. The room door is those old kind which you open with a 'solid' key and just have to lock it when you leave the room.

This being my second time to the city, I didn't go to those tourist spots which I went to previously. Just to this one-- The National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall. Some will still call it by its old name, National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

Up close

And personal. I like this photo, but could do without the double chin.

Outside, it's Liberty Square

More coming up.

First In My Batch

Attended one of my batchgirls' wedding banquet last week. Best wishes to the lovely couple~~

I didn't bring along my camera and the photos are all courtesy of RJ, that gorgeous babe who probably stunned quite a few guys that night with her eyes.

The ladies who attended that night all looked fabulous.

The first girl from my batch to get married.

The first time I have an individual serving at wedding banquets.

Drinks at Coffee Club after the banquet.

I love weddings.
